MGS is an opensource project made to give free replacements and alternatives for the expensive software (Microsoft Office for example). This project was invented to help people who have trouble coming up with the cash just to keep working with the latest. Now you can get free alternatives that can do most actions that well written Microsoft software can do. Also, if you use Wine or Darwine, you may be able to run this software with other operating systems (Mac OS X, Linux, OPENSTEP, etc.) Finally, the software is opensource so if this doesn't meet your standards, you can download the source and make your own customized verions to meet whatever standards you have chosen.
